Sept and Oct 2011

Hello friends and family. The season is changing and so are the leaves on the trees and the weather is starting to get colder outside. As we settle in for my favorite time of the year I wanted to catch you all up with what has been going on here in NJ. A few weeks ago we had Jadyn and Kayas pictures taken ( family- you will be recieving them soon) at Babies R Us. They came out so good it was hard to choose just 1 of each of the kids. Soon after that it was school pictures for both. I havent seen them yet so I hope that thay came out good. Since Halloween was coming so fast we decided to take the girls to G-Boys and do their walk thru. (It is not scary) If you ask Jadyn she was so scared and we hadnt even gone in yet. Her face was priceless. Kaya was such a big girl and walked the whole thing. The girls have now become brave and started to climb the tree out front. No major boo-boos but Jadyn did slide down the middle of the tree and get some scrapes. I think it will be awhile till she tries this again. Kaya had the fire company visit her school. They sang songs to the fire men and got to sit in their truck. The kids all did great and I think the firemen thought so too. We took our first trip on the speed line over to Philly. The girls loved it. We went to Reading Terminal Market then walked around Philly for awhile. They girls got to go into the Hard Rock Truck. In side they got to see Katy Perrys dress and Jaustin Beibers skate board. That was fun for them. We finally got to take the class trip to the pumpkin patch ( aftrer 2 raindates) Tom was able to join us. We took the hayride then got to pick out our pumpkins. I think the girls got the best ones. Tday was a bitter sweet day for me, it was Kayas Halloween show at school. (this is the last one at The Family Co-op for us) She dressed ae a Devil. She was so cute and did such a great job. Well thats all for now. I hope everyone has a great Halloween and is safe. Love to you all The Thornburgh's

Family visits and the shore

Well we had a very busy 2 weeks. First Grandma and Grandpa Thornburgh came to visit. The following Friday night Katie,Wade and Aubrey came to visit they stayed until 4th of July afternoon. That morning Set and Ben came to visit. That night Set had came across extra tickets for the Yes show so Grandma and the girls and I went to the show. It was the 1st concert the girls had gone to. They had a blast we could see fireworks in Philly also in Jersey. Jadyn became very attached to Ben and said we should dress Petey up and send him home with Set and keep Ben. On July 6th was Sets Birthday. The girls wanted to make him a cake so we made brownies and they decorated it. It was a lot of fun having all the family visit and in that short of time. This past weekend we went down to Wild wood for the day. We went on the beach then did the boardwalk. Poor Kaya got hurt on the second ride she went on it was a slide and she got friction burn on her elbow and wrist. Poor baby. She did have a lot of fun though. We got all you can ride wristbands for 36 dollars each kid for 3 different piers. They did get to go on more than 36 dollars worth. Well that is all for now hope you enjoyed the pictures.

Alot of exciting things have happened.

Well alot has happened since I last updated my blog. Last time I had wrote we had just celebrated Jadyns 5th Birthday. Well since then we had Pre-school graduation for both the girls. Very bitter sweet since Jadyn was really graduating from The Family Co-op Learning Center and Kaya still goes for 1 more year in the Pre-k program. They both have boyfriends that they met in school Kayas boyfriend is Pauly and he has been battling Lueikemia for the past 3 or so years but is doing really well and Jadyns boyfriend is Tyler he has a twin named Hayden. Kaya tells me everyday that she is going to marry Pauly I just hope that we are able to keep in touch since he is going into Kindergarten in September and lives in Palmyra instead of Cinnaminson so they wont be in the same school next year or even when Kaya gets into Kindergarten. Jadyn did have to take her Kindergarten screening test, she did not do so well only scored a 29 so she had to go back and be retested with the Child Study Team. They said she is above average on almost every thing but is having trouble with her letter, numbers and shapes so each day for about 15-20 minutes I have been practicing with her to get her ready. She is so excited and got a new "Justice" book bag for school. We also got to celebrate Jadyns "friend Birthday Party" where we invite her friends over to celebrate her Birthday the coolest part about it was that their Aunt Emily,Uncle Chris,Aleigha,Brenton and little Kenli were here to celebrate with her. They both had dentist appointments just recently. This was Jadyns 5th or 6th trip there. They said her teeth look great but her bottom 2 teeth in the front are starting to become loose so that means in the next couple of months the tooth fairy will be visiting us. Kaya did so good like an old pro. They said her teeth look great as well. (We are very adamant about their brushing). Last week was our favorite Carnival around Saint Charles Carnival. We buy tickets prior to the carnival so they are half price. We got to go 2 night. They had fun as usual and got to see some friends from school. The second night we went they got to see our friends Melissa,Fran Buggy Alyssa and Daniel so it was alot of fun. This weekend coming up Grandma and Grandpa Thornburgh are coming for a long visit. We will go see the fireworks in Maple Shade while they are here. We also found out that Set and his son Ben are going to be flying into Philadelphia Airport on July 4th. We are so excited that Kaya will finally meat 1 of her many Uncles and 1 of her many cousins that she has not met yet.One last note I finally broke down and let the girls get their hair cut, in 5 years and in 3 years I never cut my girls hair but Jadyn wanted a short haircut"bob" and Kaya wanted the same but they sure do look cute. Well that is all for now. I hope you enjoyed the pictures and Have a happy 4th of July. Hope to see some of you over the summer and to you that are expecting we wish you a fast delivery and cant wait to see pictures of our new family members. Love to you all.

Quick catch up

It has been a very long time since I have wrote anything. I thought it was about time to catch you guys up with all that has been going on with the girls.

Kaya is growing with leaps and bounds. She is now 3 and a half and is becoming such a big girl. She had given up her binki and bottle when she turned 3 and never really had a problem without it. She is 99% potty trained just needs a pull up at night. She is doing really great in school (even though she is the youngest in the class). She really enjoys playing with her dolls and has now decieded that her favorite color is orange. She is such a joy and she is my special little buddy.

Jadyn is turning into such a little lady. She is now obsessed with Justin Beiber and loves all the pop music especially Katey Perrys Firework. She sits in the car and sings all the way to where ever we are going. She has a "Justin" poster over her bed and a few shirts. She wants everything Justin for her birthday. She is doing great in school and her teachers say that she will be ready for kindergarten in Sept. We go to register her for kindergarten tomorrow night. She is just so amazing.

The big news about both the girls is that they both got "BIG GIRL" beds. It has made them sleeping in their room alot better they both sleep all night thru in their room for the most part now. What a relief.

Well that is all in a nutshell. I hope you enjoyed the post and pictures. We miss all of our far away family and think about you guys often.

Just a little of what has been going on

Well there is not too much to post but I figured it has been too long. Some things that have been going on are Kaya is about to turn 3 on September 19th. I can't believe she will be that old already. Wow has time flown by. She will be giving up the bottle and she will be starting Pre-school. She will be going with Jadyn and she is so looking forward to it.
Jadyn is excited to go back to school and see her teachers. Not much is going on with her. She is just growing like a weed. She is 4 and a half but I swear she thinks she is 16.
Tom just went to Pensacola FL. His brother just got married and it was the first time that they were all able to be together in many years. The girls and I weren't able to attend due to money. We were all sad not to be able to see everyone. Some of them have never meet Kaya or have seen Jadyn in 3 years. We are just so glad Daddy was able to go and have a nice time.
Now for me I am now working. I am working in the deli at Shop Rite here in Cinnaminson. I am working at night from 7 or 8 to midnight. It has been tough to be away from my family but it has been good at the same time. I am working to help with the bills and to pay for the girls to go to school. It will get easier as I get use to working.
That is about all that is going on here in NJ. We miss all of our family and hope to have some visits soon.
